Excel Outline Settings

Treat levels > 8 the same as level 8

Excel only supports 8 levels, from 1 to 8. If you have more than 8 levels, there are two options:

  1. Treat all levels above 8 as if they were level 8, which means that all are grouped in at the same level
  2. Ignore levels above 8 and exclude them from the outline structure

Checkbox (True or False)

Start with roll-up direction set as top/left

Excel’s built-in outline controls can be positioned at the top of a group (i.e. aligned with the parent row), or at the bottom, aligned with the last child row. The native default for Excel is bottom, but TreeWiz default is top, because this is more natural from an outlining perspective
